Product Description

1. Product Overview

This cycle-operated vertical aluminum alloy solution treatment resistance furnace is specifically designed for solution treatment and rapid quenching of aluminum alloy castings and plates. Workpieces are suspended in the furnace basket with uniform hot air circulation. After soaking, the furnace door opens rapidly and workpieces can fall into the water quenching medium in ≤10 seconds. Typical applications include solution treatment production lines for aluminum alloy casting, die-casting, and aerospace components with strict quenching transfer time requirements.

2. Industry Challenges & Root Cause Analysis

Excessive quenching transfer time leads to substandard performance:Aluminum alloy must complete quenching within extremely short time after solution treatment – excessive transfer time precipitates coarse second phases and reduces mechanical properties. Root cause: slow furnace door opening and insufficient basket descent speed in traditional furnaces.

Insufficient furnace temperature uniformity:Large temperature differentials cause inconsistent solution treatment results within the same batch. Root cause: lack of effective hot air circulation and air guiding structures.

High impact during basket lifting/lowering and short equipment life:Rapid descent creates inertial impact – fast wear on wire ropes and pulleys. Root cause: lack of dual-speed control and buffer design in lifting mechanism.

Incomplete safety interlocks:Heating power not cut off when door opens, basket misoperation risks. Root cause: lack of comprehensive electrical-mechanical interlock protection.

Missing process data recording:Solution treatment temperature curves cannot be automatically recorded – difficult quality traceability. Root cause: control system lacks data storage and export functions.

3. Solution

3.1 Rapid Quenching Transfer System:3T dual-speed electric winch (fast down, slow up) – descent speed up to 18m/min – basket can fall into water quenching tank within ≤10 seconds. Slow ascent reduces inertial impact and extends equipment life. Winch with self-locking device – can stop at any position.

3.2 Hot Air Circulation & Guiding System:7.5kW high-temperature circulating fan on furnace top with 304 stainless steel guiding hood (3mm thick) – centrifugal radial airflow pressed downward longitudinally – bypasses workpiece and is drawn back from bottom – forming circulation loop. Ensures furnace temperature uniformity ≤±3℃ (soaking stage).

3.3 Full-Fiber Lining & High-Efficiency Heating:Furnace walls and roof with full-fiber structure – standard refractory fiber cotton thickness ≥240mm – secondary pre-compression before installation (compressed density ≥230kg/m³) – fixed with stainless steel round bars. Heating elements 0Cr25Al5 resistance strips – Y connection – surface load controlled below 1.6W/cm² – long service life.

3.4 Furnace Door & Basket Electrical Interlocks:Heating element power automatically cut off when door slightly opens – automatically restored when door closes – basket can only be raised/lowered after door opens to designated position – winch lifting power cut off when heating power is on – effectively prevents misoperation. Basket lifting mechanism interlocked with door mechanism – ensuring operational safety.

3.5 Mobile Quenching Tank & Stirring System:Mobile quenching tank cart (motor drive 2.2kW) – 3kW×2 circulating water pumps inside tank – continuous stirring during quenching maintains uniform water temperature. Tank body 5mm steel plate welded – leak tested to ensure no seepage.

3.6 Intelligent Temperature Control & Data Management:Eurotherm 3504 industrial PID temperature controller (2-zone control) – control accuracy ≤±1℃. 10-inch touchscreen centrally sets, controls, monitors, records, and stores heat treatment process curves. Features program completion alarm, over-temperature audible/visual alarm, and automatic current cut-off. Kunlun Tongtai touchscreen supports real-time/historical temperature curve viewing and alarm information query.

6. FAQ

Q1: How is quenching transfer time ensured ≤10 seconds?

A: 3T dual-speed electric winch – descent speed up to 18m/min – basket descends rapidly into water after door opens. Full process (door open → basket descent → fully immersed) ≤10 seconds – meets strict transfer time requirements for aluminum alloy solution treatment.

Q2: How is furnace temperature uniformity ensured?

A: 7.5kW high-temperature circulating fan on furnace top with 304 stainless steel guiding hood – centrifugal radial airflow pressed downward longitudinally – bypasses workpiece and is drawn back from bottom – forming circulation loop. 2-zone independent control – uniformity ≤±3℃ during soaking.

Q3: What safety interlocks are included?

A: Heating power automatically cut off when door slightly opens – automatically restored when door closes – basket can only be raised/lowered after door opens to designated position – winch lifting power cut off when heating power is on. Basket lifting interlocked with door mechanism – prevents misoperation.

Q4: How is quenching tank water temperature kept uniform?

A: 3kW×2 circulating water pumps inside mobile quenching tank – continuous stirring during quenching maintains uniform water temperature. Tank body 5mm steel plate welded – leak tested to ensure no seepage.

Q5: How are process curves recorded and traced?

A: 10-inch touchscreen centrally sets, controls, monitors, records, and stores heat treatment process curves. Supports real-time/historical temperature curve viewing and alarm information query. Program completion alarm – over-temperature audible/visual alarm with automatic current cut-off.
