Industrial Gravity Casting Metal Melting Induction Furnace for Copper
1. Overview
The 90KW gravity casting furnace adopts a double melting groove design and a double induction body structure.
The advantages of this structure are that it balances the temperature of the melting groove and each part of the furnace
to achieve energy saving effects, and increases the range of electromagnetic stirring to make the distribution of each
element in the furnace more uniform. The purpose of the gravity casting furnace: melting copper, bronze, brass and
other copper alloys for smelting and heat preservation.

3. Working Principle and Main Structure
3.1 This product is designed using the principle of electromagnetic induction.
When an AC voltage is applied to the induction coil, an alternating magnetic flux is generated. The magnetic flux forms a
closed magnetic circuit through the iron core. This alternating magnetic flux induces an electromotive force and a secondary
current in the molten groove. This current passes through the resistance of the metal charge and converts electrical energy
into thermal energy, which melts the metal in the molten groove.
3.2 This product consists of a furnace body, a furnace frame, an induction body, an electric furnace cooling system, an electrical
control cabinet, etc.
Electric furnace voltage range: 90V, 120V, 150V, 180V, 210V, 250V, 300V, 380V.
3.3 The gravity pouring electric copper melting furnace adopts a vertical "mouth" iron core induction structure. The shell is made of
rolled and welded steel plates, and the molten pool is made of refractory bricks after the insulation material and refractory material
are tied together.
3.4 The induction body consists of two inductors, two iron cores, and two melting grooves. The induction body shell is composed
of refractory knotted material and water cooling jacket. The inductor is water-cooled: in order to facilitate the removal of refractory
materials and reduce the power loss of the induction body shell, the induction shell is composed of two halves, with insulating
material in the middle. The induction body shell is based on the upper flange surface when assembled.
3.5 During the smelting process, the inlet water temperature is required to be no higher than 35℃, the outlet water temperature
is required to be higher than 55℃, and the water flow rate should be measured frequently. If the water flow rate is lower than
the required level, the scale should be cleaned.
3.6 This industrial metal melting furnace requires that the cooling water quality should meet the following requirements: pH value
is within the range of 7~8, hardness is not greater than 7, and the total content of suspended matter and dissolved solids does not
exceed 10, so as to avoid scaling of cooling water and blockage of water channels.
